SearchIlm is built on the work of others, and our goal is to put it in front of you with as few walls as possible. We name every source and honor its license. SearchIlm has no subscription, no ads, and no paid tier, so a source licensed for non-commercial use is served here under those same terms, noted below.

  • fawazahmed0 Quran & Hadith APIs

    Public domain

    Core Quran text, many translations, and the Sunni Hadith collections.

  • Thaqalayn (thaqalayn.net) via ThaqalaynAPI

    Non-commercial

    20 Shia hadith collections (al-Kafi, al-Faqih, Nahj al-Balagha, al-Amali, and more), with Arabic, English, and scholarly gradings.

    Translation copyright is retained by thaqalayn.net. SearchIlm is free, ad-free, and earns nothing, so this falls under the license's non-commercial terms without needing separate permission.

    Per title, mostly unstated

    About 200 freely distributed Islamic books, used as citable reference passages in search results, question pages, and research studies.

    Each book's copyright stays with its author and publisher. We serve short excerpts with the book, author, and passage named, and never a whole book.

    Commercial use needs Misraj AI's written permission. SearchIlm is free, ad-free, and earns nothing, so this falls under the license's non-commercial terms without needing that.
